The THS Concert Band along with the TMS Sixth Grade Band and the seventh and eighth grade Symphonic Band performed their Christmas concert to a packed crowd on December 16. Thanks to everyone who attended. We had a great time performing for you.

The Band Has a Busy Spring Ahead!
Area tryouts on January 8th are history. The ATSSB Region Band Clinic/Concert - hosted by Tarkington on January 15th - ended with an outstanding concert on Saturday evening. Congratulations to all who participated.
The band is working toward three important goals at this moment: UIL Solo & Ensemble Competition, UIL Concert & Sight Reading, and Spring Concert.
The stakes are high at UIL this year. Students making a Division 1 rating on Class 1 music advance to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition in May. If our numbers are high we could shatter last year's record.
In April the band has an opportunity to earn a Sweepstakes trophy from UIL with a Division 1 performance. Our last Sweeptstakes trophy was in the early 90's. Exciting times!
